News from the Bismarck Sports Show - Febrary, 16

During the Bismarck show today we had a customer stop by who had purchased a Whitecap ice fishing rod at last year's show.  He and some of his buddies had been fishing on Devils Lake within the past two weeks.  He highly praised the rod and then said the the group had caught 69 walleyes... and that he had caught 65 of them.  Music to a rod builder's ears!  Thanks to Jake from Steele, ND.

Bismarck Tribune Sports Show, Feb. 15, 16 and 17

After a successful show in St. Cloud we are off to Bismarck this weekend for the Bismarck Tribune's Sports Show.  Stop by to see some new feather inlays we are using on wood foregrips, to talk fishing, or give us some new ideas that you may want in a rod.  We are also featuring rods built on Batson blanks as well as the usual array of St. Croix blanks/rods.  Batson is a reputable west coast company that manufactures quality rod components and many of their blanks have lifetime warranties.

We will work with you to design the rod of your choice and a goal of crafting a premier rod for you!

Fargo Show - The Big One

October 20 and 21, 2012

We will be at The Big One in Fargo, ND at the Fargo Civic Center on October 20th and 21st.  It is a big Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair so think fishing rods for gifts to the fisher people in your lives.  Last year ice rods with the recipient's name engraved in a wood handle were a popular gift.  The woods available for handles are red cedar, cherry, walnut, and butternut.  Feather inlays in the handle were also popular.  You can even have both name and feathers. We look forward to the Fargo show and look forward to seeing you to talk about rods and fishing.

Come visit our booth at the Central MN Sportsmen's Expo at the Benton County Fair Grounds.  The address is 1410 3re Ave. South in Sauk Rapids.  The show runs from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Here is the schedule of shows we are attending in the next year.

Central MN Sportsmen's Expo, September 8 & 9, 2012 at the Benton County Fair grounds.  Note this is the same week end as the Little Falls Craft Fair so we will not be in Little Falls.

This coming February will find us at two shows: the St. Cloud Sportsmen's Show and the Bismarck (ND) Tribune's Sportsmen's Show.  Watch for the dates in the future.

Come April we will be at "The Gathering" in Perham, MN.  This is a unique, well attended and frankly, an amazing show where carvers of fish decoys display their decoys and compete for prestigious awards!

Hope to see you at one or more of the shows.

St. Cloud and Bismarck

Our next shows are in February, 2012.  We will be at the Civic Center in St. Cloud on the 10th, 11th, and 12th and in Bismarck at the Civic Center on the 24th, 25th, and 26th.  We are busy making sample rods for display and sale at these events as well as filling current orders.  We are always ready to meet your requests for the custom rod you would like.
